About KiwiMeds
KiwiMeds was founded by Ramon Wong, a registered pharmacist based in Christchurch, New Zealand. With a Bachelor of Pharmacy and years of clinical experience, Ramon created KiwiMeds to fill the gap left by the closure of NPS MedicineWise in 2026 — giving New Zealanders a trusted, plain-English source of medication information.
After years of working in pharmacy, there is so much confusion around medications — people unsure about side effects, worried about interactions, or not knowing whether their medicine is funded by Pharmac. KiwiMeds exists to bridge that gap.
Every piece of content on this site is either written or reviewed by a registered NZ pharmacist. Ramon holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and is registered with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand. KiwiMeds keeps up with the latest New Zealand prescribing guidelines, Pharmac decisions, and Medsafe approvals so you don’t have to.

With the closure of NPS MedicineWise in 2026, New Zealanders lost one of the few credible, evidence-based medication information services. KiwiMeds was built to fill that gap — with a New Zealand focus, pharmacist credibility, and content that actually makes sense to real people.
